In commemoration of Jean Alesi’s participation in the emblematic Indianapolis 500 miles race, F.P.Journe has created a Limited Series of 99 pieces, the “Octa Sport Indy 500”, numbered 501 to 599. Inspired by the Octa Sport, it is produced in high technology Aluminium alloy used in aeronautics. The blackened Aluminium case and black dial, with the F.P.Journe Invenit et Fecit signature, featuring the logos Indy 500, Lotus and Jean Alesi.

Technical Specifications:

Movement is the Swiss automatic FP Journce in-house caliber FPJ 1300-3 with 40 jewels, 21,600 vph and a power reserve of 120 hours. It is an unidirectional automatic winding movement made in an aluminium alloy with four adjustable inertia weights, an Anachron free-sprung flat balance spring
Mobile stud holder, Free Sprung Nivatronic laser soldered balance spring and Pinned GE stud.

Decoration is circular Côtes de Genève on bridges with partly circular graining on baseplate, polished screw heads with chamfered slots, chamfered and circular grained wheels. The steel components are hand polished and chamfered.

The case is blackened aluminium alloy with rubber inserts, measuring 42mm x 11.6mm. The dial is blackened Aluminium alloy and sapphire with Superluminova hands and indeces.

The total weight of the watch is 53 grams (11grams for the movement).
