Again, we do assure you that the watch you have purchased is new and the reason why the sealed plastic has been opened is because your watch has been checked by our local Service Center prior to delivery.
We have taken good note of your comments regarding our price policy.
For your information, avaibility for such model in Switzerland is between 12 to 18 months.
This morning, we spoke over the phone with our Distributor, Wu Shang Trading. We understood that you have been able to speak with our retailer Pro Hopetime who has clarified the situation on his side.

The dealer in Taiwan did not tell the truth before it sold the watch to me. This is not a good behavior. I am not very happy about this as a Patek Philippe customer. The reason that I bought the watch from your company is your company's reputation. How can customer trust your company's policy and reputation if you are not going to do anything about it. Customer needs to send back their watch for maintenance during every 3-5year. In my situation, I watch will need maintenance very soon although you say it is a new watch. The dealer in taiwan open the seal plastic and reseal it back to cheat the customer. This is not very good way to treat your customer. I believe your company is a very good company. Are you going to allow your dealer to cheat the customers again and again.
For the price policy, The price will not have big diffence between different countries for regular model although there is tax issue problem. 5074RG is listed for $540,000CHF in 2008, However, the list price was around $669,655 in 2007 in Taiwan. $669,655 - $540,000 = $129,655 . The price difference 1n 2008 will be $129,655 CHF + around 12% price hike in 2008. The tax is quite low( aroud 5%) in Taiwan. It should not make a big difference in price. 99% of models only have a little price difference between different countries. Why Minute Repeaters's price does make a big difference in different countries. In this case, who is going to buy watch in Taiwan? This may create a problem for your company. Only case I know is China market because these is a high import tax in China, not in Taiwan. The price has around 20-30% difference between China and Taiwan. Also, I don't understand why Wu Shang Trading Co will not give customer a quote when I ask how much is the list price. It also refuse to tell me the produce year of my 5074. Many customers are not very happy about your local Distributor in Taiwan.

Dear Sir,
We thank you for the copy of the Certificate of Origin.
It is correct that this watch has been manufactured in the course of 2006 and was shipped to our Distributor Wu Shang Trading Co. in Taiwan during the same year.
As you know, Wu Shang Trading Co. is our local Distributor supplying 18 official retailers all over Taiwan with our watches.
5074R is a Great Complication and prior to validate any sale, we ask all our dealers to inform us about the customer who is interested in purchasing such a timepiece. As long as we do not give our green light (which means our approval) they cannot sell such a watch. This is what happened with this particular reference.
Just for your information, for such Minute Repeaters, some customers have to wait several years as yearly production is very limited and demand extremely strong.
Through the watch stayed for nearly 18 months between Wu Shang Trading hands we can assure you that it is new and your are definitely the first owner.
Regarding your question about local prices, there are several factors that can explain the price difference between Switzerland and Taiwan (or any other country), such as local VAT, GST or sales taxes, Import duties, exchange rate fluctuations etc....
